Sunday Done Right: Girlfriends Catch Up Over $28 Eggs

10:03AM

What would have been a ‘Sunday done wrong’ has now become ‘Sunday done right’ after confirmation of brunch between three Melbourne-based girlfriends.

“Let’s meet at that Fig place” says this mornings early bird, Stephanie Cheng.

“It’s in Prahran I think”

“Oh you mean Fig’s and Vaginas? I love their $28 pesto omelette LOL” responds Brea Perez shortly after, before third member of the trio Mandy Kim adds,

“LOL. I’m doing the House Made French Toast with a $15 mimosa juice which I hear is 5 stars”

The chatter of their favourite brunch items begins to excite the original instigator, Stephanie, who’s ready to put her money where her mouth is, literally

“Antipasto tasting plate straight from the farm or nothing! I JUST BOOKED LOL”

At the venue, the girls aren’t laughing out loud. Instead, they anxiously wait for their Instagram stories to arrive. The trio begins to debate the hot topics currently trending in brunch culture.

“I think you can eat breakfast before brunch, but like a small serving of muesli” shares Stephanie.

“Well I disagree” responds a confident Brea “eating muesli defeats the purpose of brunch, it’s about killing two birds with one stone,

“Br-eakfast, la-unch. Brunch

The assertion raises the eyebrows of the other girls.

“As if you haven’t gotten afternoon Yumcha after brunch Brea?”

“Is that an accusation? If I’m doing Yumcha I’ll do it for brunch thank you very m-”

Before things risk going from passive-aggressive to aggressive is the arrival of their meals courtesy of a skinny white waiter in a white shirt with an undercut and tattoos.

“I have the omelette for…”

The sound of each order read out in a cunty hipster tone, acts as a calming presence. In no time, the brunch valued at $100+ total is at the mercy of the girls phone cameras and Stephanie’s voice narration.

“Sunday, done right”

All is right in the world.
